The aim of Soccer Across America grants is to help organizations start new soccer programs in communities that are underserved. The main focus is on making soccer available to low-income children. Soccer Across America also provides administrative guidance and soccer training for players and organizations. Applicants who fit U.S. Youth Soccer's mission fare the best. 1. Applying for a Safe Places to Play grant is a two-step process. First, you will need to submit an online Letter of Interest (LOI) to the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Grants department. Second, if the Foundation approves the LOI, your organization will be invited to complete an official application.The Safe Places to Play LOI is an online form, accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
The Target youth soccer grants program provides support for player registration fees, player and field equipment, and training and professional development for volunteer coaches. Any eligible school, government agency, non-profit organization or non-profit regional/local soccer organization within the U.S., serving youth 5 to 18 years old, can apply.
United Soccer Coaches Foundation reserves the right to reject any grant request. Organization(s) and individuals receiving a grant or scholarship from United Soccer Coaches Foundation will be required to utilize their award within 12 months of being notified.
In all, US Youth Soccer awarded $85,000 to 15 TOPSoccer and 12 Soccer Start soccer groups through its annual grants program for soccer development. Since 1998, the organization has made nearly $2 million available for the growth of the game of soccer through grants and other financial support. Soccer Start is designed to introduce the sport of soccer to youngsters living in communities not yet served by existing clubs and leagues.
